The entire coat of the pet is thoroughly brushed and
then completely combed; all snarls, mats and tangles must be removed
before the bath. Bathing before brushing or combing will only cause
severe matting and tangling. Pets, like humans, have varying tolerances
of pain and discomfort. For instance, one pet may not be bothered by
combing out large tangles, while others may get extremely upset if we
try to remove just one small snarl.
The brusher/bather makes use of many tools to make
this sometimes-troublesome task as easy and gentle on the pet as possible.
Ear canals are cared for in this stage be removing excess hair from
inside the ears and also cleaning and disinfecting them with a special
solution. If a problem with an ear condition is observed, we inform
the owner.
